Biden-Harris | 2020

Uniting a divided country, virtually

The COVID-19 pandemic forced the 2020 Democratic Presidential primary and DNC Convention to take place virtually for the first time in modern American political history. After four years of mind-boggling political upheaval, the Democratic Party had to build a compelling case for Joe Biden—completely remotely. Despite the seemingly impossible circumstances, in just three weeks we created and produced three video segments that helped unite a polarized party around the candidate who would become our country’s 46th President.

Finding common ground after the
campaign trail.

Using archival footage from the campaign, we highlighted Joe Biden’s journey to winning the nomination. Remote interviews with fellow primary candidates reinforced his extraordinary empathy and ability to help, in his words, “restore the soul of America.”

Segment 1: United We Stand Video

Bringing together former competitors
made the case for unity

A first in Presidential politics, we orchestrated a live discussion with Joe Biden’s former Democratic primary competitors, hosted by Senator Cory Booker. We sent six crews to six different locations, and set up individual live feeds that were simultaneously streamed back to each participant. This allowed the former candidates to have a candid and honest conversation about supporting “the Joe they know.”

Segment 2: United We Stand Video

Reminding voters they can affect great
change on major issues

Joe Biden needed to remind disenchanted and frustrated voters that their voices and participation could drive real change. We created a short film about the grassroots movement to end gun violence narrated by March For Our Lives co-founder, Emma Gonzalez, to rally voters’ around a core Democratic issue.
